Since moving to Mississippi from New Jersey, Itzel has been drawn to the Fondren District because of its vibrant community and walkable streets, reminiscent of her hometown, Leonia. Fondren Aesthetics embodies this same sense of community.

OUR MISSION
Itzel Barroso is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a background in emergency medicine, dermatology, and aesthetic nursing. Her passion for skincare began at 15, when her mother introduced her to a full skincare routine—her first real dive into the world of skin health and beauty.
Itzel holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health from Rutgers University and became an EMT while preparing for her nursing journey. After earning her Bachelor’s in Nursing from New Jersey City University, she started her career in emergency medicine, then transitioned to dermatology, where her love for skincare truly flourished. She went on to earn her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, achieving her dream of working in aesthetics as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Fluent in Spanish, Itzel easily connects with clients from all backgrounds, making sure each person feels welcome and understood. Certified in Botox, fillers, microneedling, lasers, and chemical peels, she’s constantly advancing her skills to provide personalized, natural-looking results that enhance her clients’ beauty.
When not at Fondren Aesthetics, Itzel enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her family. She can’t wait to welcome you to Fondren Aesthetics for a customized beauty experience that celebrates your natural glow.
